Services

You are welcome to join us at any of our church services. We regularly have guests and visitors at each service. As we meet together, we hear readings from the Bible and a sermon based on those readings, we pray, and we sing (on Sundays). Our building is buggy and wheelchair accessible.

If you've not been to church before, you won't be put on the spot. Our welcomers will make sure you have what you need for the service and can show you where the toilet, creche etc are. Those who lead our services are there to make sure we all know what we're doing when. You don't need to dress up to come, though you can if you'd like to.

Sunday 9am Traditional

This uses the BCP services for Holy Communion and Morning Prayer with traditional hymns (except 1st of the month - no hymns), lasting about an hour, tea and coffee in the hall afterwards.

Sunday 10.30am Informal

with Young Church

A more informal service, with a mixture of contemporary and traditional music, lasting about an hour and 10mins, tea and coffee in the hall before and afterwards. Children and young people head out part way through for Young Church and rejoin before the end of the service. Communion once a month.

Thursday 11am Traditional

A BCP said Communion service every week lasting 45 minutes.

Every person has a value and dignity which comes directly from the creation of male and female in God’s own image and likeness. Christians see this potential as fulfilled by God’s recreation of us in Christ. This implies a duty to value all people as bearing the image of God and therefore to protect them from harm.

  • We endorse the principles set out in accordance with the Church of England Safeguarding Policy.
  • We commit ourselves to nurture, protect and safeguard all our members, particularly children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • We recognise that safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole church community.
  • We undertake to exercise proper care in the selection, appointment, training and support of those working in both paid and voluntary positions with children or vulnerable adults, including the use of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosures and making appropriate referrals to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
  • We will respond without delay to concerns or allegations that a child or vulnerable adult may have been harmed, cooperating with the police and social care services in any investigation.
  • We will challenge any abuse of power by anyone in a position of trust.
  • We will seek to offer pastoral care and support to anyone who has suffered abuse, developing with them appropriate pastoral support.
  • We will seek to offer pastoral care and support, including supervision and referral to the proper authorities, to any member of our church community known to have offended against a child, young person or vulnerable adult.
